Official Trace the Stars story list, and submissions are closed

It’s been great fun reading all of the submissions since issuing the call in November 2017. There were so many excellent entries that it was hard to select the ones that worked best for this space opera and hard science fiction anthology. We appreciate all of the authors who submitted stories for consideration to show their support of the mission of Life, the Universe, & Everything to help educate and hone new and existing writers. All proceeds from this anthology go to support the mission of LTUE to allow students to attend for a greatly discounted price.

Submissions are now officially closed (a couple months early!) for the Trace the Stars benefit anthology.

Here’s the list of stories and authors that will be in this anthology (alphabetically by author):

  • “Log Entry” by Kevin J. Anderson
  • “Cycle 335” by Beth Buck
  • “Making Legends” by Jaleta Clegg
  • “Sweetly the Dragon Dreams” by David Farland
  • “Launch” by Daniel Friend
  • “Angles of Incidence” by Nancy Fulda
  • “Neo Nihon” by Paul Genesse
  • “A Veil of Leaves” by M.K. Hutchins
  • “The Last Ray of Light” by Wulf Moon
  • “Working on Cloud Nine” by John M. Olsen
  • “Glass Beads” by Emily Martha Sorensen
  • “Freefall” by Eric James Stone
  • “Knowing Me” by Eric G. Swedin
  • “The Road Not Taken” by Sandra Tayler
  • “The Ghost Conductor of the Interstellar Express” by Brad R. Torgersen
  • “Sea of Chaos” by Julia H. West
  • “Fido” by James Wymore

There may be a special surprise included, as well, in honor of Marion K. “Doc” Smith, to whom this anthology is dedicated. It will be released in February 2019 at LTUE, so be sure to come meet the authors and pick up a copy for you and a friend!
